The French government suppressed the media from reporting the gruesome torture of several of the Bataclan terrorist attack victims, it has been claimed. A government committee has heard from a leading investigator that policemen on the scene of the attacks last November vomited after witnessing victims with their eyes gouged out. They claimed that some had been castrated with their genitals put in their mouths and that women were stabbed in the genitals.

But prosecutors at the parliamentary inquiry into the Bataclan deaths in France have cast doubt over the claims after revealing that no sharp knives were found at the scene. The inquiry heard that the alleged torture was the reason that some bodies of those who died were not released to their family, reported HeatStreet.  The investigator told the inquiry: 'After the assault, we were with colleagues at the passage Saint-Pierre Amelot when I saw weeping from one of our colleagues who came outside to vomit. He told us what he had seen.' He then confirmed that his colleague had seen 'acts of torture' on the second floor of the Bataclan.

Terrorist attackers were planning on using filmed footage of the torture victims for ISIS propoganda, it was claimed. Some of the victims were beheaded by the terrorist attackers, according to the claims. The inquiry heard from the president of the committee, Georges Fenech,  that one father had been told while visiting his son's body at the morgue that the right side of his face was unrecognisable because terrorists had 'punctured his eye and sliced down the right side of his face.'

The attacks happened after three terrorists took hostage concert-goers who were watching the band Eagles of Death Metal perform in the venue. Initially after the terrorists opened fire, many members of the crowd mistook gunshots for pyrotechnics. French security forces re-trace footsteps of Bataclan massacre.

The recommendation for a body modelled on the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center reporting to the prime minister was one of 40 proposals made by a parliamentary committee after the five-month inquiry. Poor coordination between security services in France and at the European level let crucial information slip through about militants who killed 130 people in coordinated attacks in and near Paris on a stadium, cafes and the Bataclan, the inquiry found.

'We are not up to the task (in the fight) against those who threaten us today,' conservative lawmaker Georges Fenech, who headed the committee, told a news conference earlier this month. The inquiry concluded that though some of the gunmen who killed 90 people in the Bataclan attack could have been arrested, there was little possibility of identifying the concert hall in advance as a target.

Government sneaks out bombshell memo showing David Cameron gave his aides a £283k golden goodbye
The ex-PM defied civil service and legal advice in a move one union called 'the kind of cronyism that gives politics a whiff of corruption'  David Cameron overruled official advice to give his aides a massive goodbye gift David Cameron gave his aides a £283,000 golden goodbye in one of his last acts as Prime Minister, bombshell memos sneaked out during the Cabinet reshuffle reveal.

A letter quietly uploaded to the government's website yesterday reveals he overruled legal advice and one of Britain's most senior civil servants to give his chums the generous payout. Mr Cameron used a rare 'ministerial direction' to get his way - a move one union called "the kind of cronyism that gives politics a whiff of corruption".

The move concerns special advisers (Spads), taxpayer-funded political aides who automatically lose their jobs when their minister or shadow minister steps down. Letters show Mr Cameron wanted to increase a severance package for Spads who have been in place since before last May from 4.5 months' pay to 6 months' pay.

But Cabinet Office chief John Manzoni warned this went beyond their contracts, would cost £282,892 and could cost far more when applied to 30 similar staff across Whitehall. "Legal advice supports this position," he wrote. "My strong advice is that we continue to abide by the provisions in their contracts of employment." David Cameron's letter overruling legal advice and a top civil servant

The Prime Minister was warned his plan would raise the total severance bill for No10 alone from £747,045 to £1,029,938 and now sets a precedent for long-serving staff. But he overruled the Permanent Secretary and the legal advice and went ahead with it on Wednesday - just hours before handing his resignation to the Queen. His principal private secretary Simon Case said the Spads had lost their jobs "through no fault of their own".David Cameron waved goodbye and the bombshell memo appeared online the next day

He added: "The termination of their employment has been sudden and unexpected. "He [Mr Cameron] does not wish to exacerbate an already difficult and uncertain time for them by inferring that their long and loyal service is not fully recognised." A Public and Commercial Services union spokesman said: "We're appalled that Cameron would seek to reward his political staff in this way, as civil servants have been told they must face further cuts to their redundancy terms. "It's that kind of cronyism that gives politics a whiff of corruption and erodes public trust."

China’s Largest Online Retailer Says Brexit Will Boost Trade

China’s largest online retailer plans to sell British goods to its 170 million customers and says Brexit will boost trade and exports because of a falling pound.

“I know there are some people who are not happy with the result [of the referendum] but we are optimistic. I think there will be a positive outcome for business in China,” said Tony Qiu, the head of JD Worldwide, at a news conference in Paris.

His website has this week launched a “British Mall” channel dedicated to selling to the Chinese market. “British Mall will be the shop window in China for the best of British products,” he added.

“UK brands and retailers have a massive opportunity to tap into this market, and with British Mall, we aim to give them the platform and tools they need to reach millions of Chinese consumers.”

Mr. Qiu explained that British brands were particularly popular with Chinese shoppers. “As disposable income is rising in China there is an increasing demand for quality and imported products, and goods from the UK are the most popular,” he said.

Adding: “From a business perspective there will be an immediate impact because the purchase price will be lower as the pound falls in price.”

“We will pass this on to the consumers and so as UK products because cheaper, they will have a competitive advantage in comparison to other countries,” he said.
During the referendum campaign, David Cameron seized on Nigel Farage remarking “so what?” on the prospect of a slump in the pound caused by Brexit.

Whilst a falling pound might be bad for the wealthy, who have many assets and holiday abroad frequently, it can be good for working people.

The UKIP leader was relaxed about a falling pound because he predicted that it would boost exports and revive UK industries – an analysis the Chinese retail mogul appears to agree with.

Calexit: Brexit Excites Californians Wanting to Secede

Yes California Calexit Campaign

The stunning victory of the “Brexit” campaign last week, which heralds the departure of Britain from the European Union, has excited movements for national sovereignty across Europe — and a secessionist movement in California as well.

Louis Marinelli, who leads the “Yes California” movement, told Newsweek that Brexit and the Scottish independence movement both point the way forward for a state that only gets 94 cents on the dollar back from Washington for its federal taxes.

“This is the first Western secessionist movement that worked, and I think that is going to be very profound,” Marinelli told Newsweek. “Are you going to say to people in the freest country in the world (you) don’t have the right to self-determination?”

Others are worried about what Brexit might mean for the California economy. The Los Angeles Times, for example, notes that Britain is second only to China in terms of foreign visitors to the Golden State, and has close economic ties to California, including heavy investments in film and tech.

Marinelli, however, is delighted by the political example that Brexit has set. He joins other enthusiasts for state independence elsewhere, such as the “Texit” activists, who hope to restore Texas as an independent republic, as it was in the 19th century.

There seems to be little real prospect of either California or Texas seceding, as such a move would have to be approved by the U.S. Congress. However, the notion is not entirely unheard of. Earlier this year, California Gov. Jerry Brown quipped that the state would have to build a wall around itself if Donald Trump became president.

Marinelli says that an independent California would be subdivided into states of its own. A movement to split the state up, known as “Six Californias,” failed to qualify its referendum for the November 2016 ballot.
